Our Story
HomeTown Growers is a small, family-owned farm located in Alvarado, Texas. Some of us (the older folks) have been gardening for 30 years & often had the frustration of bugs, weeds, and bad weather. Now, we grow indoors using hydroponics, providing our plants with the perfect nutrients and temperatures they love. This allows us to grow all year long, delivering fresh microgreens and lettuce in our CSA box the same day we harvest – our unique selling point!
No Pesticides or Herbicides
Because we don't grow in dirt outside, we don't have a bug problem. Therefore, we never use pesticides. We also don't have weeds, so we don't use herbicides. Our indoor hydroponic system ensures a clean and healthy growing environment, so you can trust that our produce is free from harmful chemicals.
